The Artisan Baking Center (ABC) was established by a collaboration between the Consortium of Worker Education, the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco and Grain Miller's Union Local 3, and several prominent bakery owners. All share a vision for championing traditional methods of artisan bread-making while addressing skill shortages for new and incumbent workers within the industry.

The ABC offers a dynamic array of classes for all kinds of students: beginners, career-changers, and professionals. We offer cooking and baking classes that emphasize entry-level job training as well as advanced skills development. We also provide basic adult education classes in both English as a Second Language and computer skills. Our services include bakery consulting, customized corporate training and corporate team building.

The ABC is the training center for the New York area baking and culinary industry. We partner with employers to assist in the development of skilled employees and engage in economic development activities that help advance business. Our goal is to help the industry expand, provide job opportunities and educate the workforce.
